Disclaimer
Our website gives general information, not advice for your situation. Here is what that means.

General information only
The articles, guides, figures and examples on this website explain how tax and accounting rules generally work. They don’t take account of your circumstances and are not a substitute for professional advice. Please talk to us, or another qualified adviser, before acting on anything you read here.
Rules and rates change
Tax rules, rates and thresholds change often, usually at least once a year. We aim to keep our content up to date, and we say which tax year figures apply to where it matters. Even so, a page may not reflect the latest changes, so check the current position with us or on GOV.UK.
Calculators, checkers and quotes
Our calculators and checkers give estimates based on the information you enter and on assumptions we explain beside each tool. The results are a guide, not a calculation of your tax. Instant quotes are indicative. We confirm your fee in writing after a free consultation.
When we become your accountant
We only act for you, and only take responsibility for advice, once we have agreed an engagement letter and completed the identity checks the law requires. Speaking to us, using our tools or sending an enquiry does not by itself make you a client.
Reviews and examples
Client reviews and examples describe individual experiences. Every business is different, and results depend on your own circumstances.
Other websites
We link to other websites, such as GOV.UK, HMRC and software providers, for your information. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, we accept no responsibility for any loss arising from reliance on general information on this website. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit. See our website terms of use.
