FAQs

Questions we’re often asked

Can’t find your answer? Talk to an adviser.

What are the CIS deduction rates?

20% for registered subcontractors, 30% for those not registered, and nothing for subcontractors with gross payment status.

When do I need to register for VAT?

You must register if your taxable turnover over the last 12 months goes over £90,000, or if you expect it to go over £90,000 in the next 30 days alone. You can also register voluntarily below the threshold if it suits your business.
