FAQs

Questions we’re often asked

Can’t find your answer? Talk to an adviser.

Who decides my IR35 status?

Medium and large clients decide your status and must give you a Status Determination Statement. Small private‑sector clients do not, so your own company must decide. We help you review each contract either way.

Umbrella company or limited company?

An umbrella is simpler; a limited company usually leaves you more if your contracts are outside IR35. We compare both with your day rate and contract length.

Can I claim travel expenses?

Often, for genuinely temporary workplaces, but the rules change if a contract is inside IR35 or runs longer than 24 months. We check before you claim.
