Who needs to follow Making Tax Digital for Income Tax?
Sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 have had to follow MTD since 6 April 2026. The threshold falls to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028.
Should I hold property in a limited company?
It can suit some landlords, but moving existing property can trigger Capital Gains Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax. We model both routes with your numbers first.
